From good fuel economy to traction and stability on tough terrain, the 2022 Subaru Outback does it all. It comes with standard Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive and rides high with a 9.5-inch ground clearance.

Under the hood, you'll have a choice between two reliable SUBARU BOXER® engines. The base engine is a 2.5L 4-cylinder that gets up to 182 horsepower and 176 lb-ft of torque. It's a good fit for your day-to- day driving and long trips thanks to its EPA-estimated 26 city/33 highway MPG.

The base powertrain can also tow up to 2,700 pounds. If you want to hitch a larger trailer to your Outback, or hit the trails with a little more power, the turbocharged 2.4L engine is a good fit for you. It delivers up to 260 horsepower and 277 lb-ft of torque and offers a 3,500-pound towing capacity.
